"the eagle has landed"
have eventually arrived at the EY office in san jose, after a continuous travelling time of like 34 hours, ill break it down for you!
1. cpt airport 1 hour
2. cpt - jhb 2 hours
3. jhb airport 2 hours
4. jhb - isle de sol 9 hours
6. isle de sol (refuel) 1 hour
7. isle de sol - atlanta 8 hours
8. atlanta airport 5 hours
9. atlanta - san fran 5 hours
10. san fran - san jose 1 hour
but, and here comes the but!
plane was packed for all legs of the flight, and i dont do sleeping sitting up....americans, which the plane was full of - are not the quietest bunch, especially when they are on their way back from the 46664 concert, and are drinking the bottles of amarula that they bought on the plane during the flight! then i had this 40 year old bottle blonde kugel sitting next to me, blonde hair and a flat on clifton.....the usual, who thought she was 25 and could not stop jabbering for the 18 hours that i was sitting next to her....take a hint i got headphones on!
so the flight that lands in atlanta is like 2 hours late cause of the head wind...missed my flight before we had landed! get to immigration and im missing some important documentation that is imperative to my entry - so i missed the next flight - so turns out they have deferred my acceptance and i have to go and get it sorted in a month???!!! (all under control) the only flight left that day was to san fran, not san jose, so called good ole ofentse, and he picked me up!
boy was i glad to see him!
otherwise, things here are awesome, nice car, awesome flat, silicon valley is hectic, drive to work past google, yahoo, cisco, AMD respective headquarters!
drove to santa cruz on sunday with ofentse....really picturesque....went to golden gate bridge and san fran yesterday!
will post pics in the near future!
